Exciting opportunity! Outdoor Nursery Practitioner (Part time)

Come and join our outdoor children’s nursery!

We are looking for a part-time, friendly outdoor enthusiast (with lots of oomph!) to become an integral member of our Beyond the Walls team. We are out and about in nature in all weathers, all day long, all year round, so if this is a scary thought maybe this is not the best job for you. A passion for working with children is of paramount importance. Love of all animals (creepy crawlies too!) and the environment is a must as this enthusiasm will then filter through to the children. To maintain our high standards of care, a Level 3 in Child Development is essential as it comes with that all-important knowledge of ‘ages and stages’.

As the first outdoor nursery in the North of England, this is a unique opportunity to work with inquisitive 3-5 year old children in a relaxed, innovative and ever-changing environment (with an Ofsted Outstanding accreditation to boot!)

Essential:

Minimum NVQ Level 3
Forest school trained
Paediatric first aid trained
EYFS knowledge
Enthusiastic
Caring
Trustworthy
Honest
Reliable
Self Motivated
Able to work as part of a small team
Enthusiasm for the outdoors and nature
Keen to continue personal professional development training
Clean driving licence

Desirable:

Safeguarding trained
Computer literate
Outdoor Education – Bushcraft trained

Thank you

Well, what can we say. We have had a rather emotional couple of weeks, as we have been saying goodbye to children and their families. We don’t know where this year has gone, we have obviously been having too much fun. We would like to say a big THANK YOU to all of our wonderful families who have expressed their thanks and appreciation for the care we have given their children over the past year or two. We feel that it’s our privilege to share some wonderful adventures with them – each and every one of them. We really could not do it without them! As the children move confidently onto taking the next steps of their life journey, we wish them lots of fun, love and many more adventures.

Our next ‘Beyond the Walls Family Walk’ will be in October. Keep an eye out for the date!
